The Enjoyable Weekend

This entry was supposed to be published yesterday. But bcoz I was too tight up with my work (biasa la.. Monday maaa...), it has to wait until today.

I had a great weekend. There were so many great activities. Although it caused me tiredness and sleepiness when I got back to work, I enjoyed my weekend very much! Oh, not forgetting how I spent my time during the half day leave that I took last Friday. It was awesome!

Last Friday, I went to KLCC for the Isetan Member Sale. It was WAR! Really.. There were so many people fighting each other to get the most worth buying items. Hihihi.. no lah. I was exaggerating. It's a normal situation of a card member sale. Everybody's rushing here and there, hoping not to miss any great discount. Most people are targeting the branded items which are very seldom in offering great discounts.

My target was the ladies and children department only. It's a typical choice for a working mother la kannn... My plan was to buy a pair of jeans, have a look at the discounted branded handbag (and considering whether it's worth of buying or not of course!), maybe grab an office trousers and shirt and lastly, my kids new "baju raya".

But to my dissappointment, the discounted Marc Jacobs and DKNY brand for handbags and GAP Kids clothing were actually offered only at The Gardens. (Sheeshh.. penat makcik berlari-lari masuk Isetan tau...tu la, lain kali baca Isetan newsletter tu betul-betul..).. But perhaps it was a good sign as I don't have to spend much that day. I only bought a pair of jeans and 1 dress and blouse for Sarah from Pumpkin Patch. I got 70% discount for the Pumpkin Patch. It was a really great buy. As for the jeans, I went for DKNY first as it offered 50% discount. But when I saw the original prices shown were RM400 and above, I was wondering whether it is really worth of buying. Do I really need to buy an expensive pair of jeans? I ended up buying another cheaper brand at only RM30.. hihihi. But it wasn't a good choice either as it doesn't comfortably fit me bcoz it is a low waist jeans (I never like low waist jeans) but bcoz I need to have it urgently for a specific reason, I just bought it. After all, it's just RM30. Maybe I'll go for hunt of a pair of good jeans later.

On Saturday, I went for my previous department's reunion. I was previously involved in our company's big project of replacing our core system. There were so many memories there, be it sweet or sour memories.. (ada ke term ni? belasah je la..) I think I gain a lot of positive attitudes and values when I was there. It also build up my confidence. All of my hard works and efforts was paid off.

The reunion was amazing. First, each of us was given a blue original Adidas t-shirt. It is very nice and comfortable.

Beside the chit-chatting among ourselves, each of us was given a lucky draw number. I got number 3. The number is being used when the MC called up the person to go in front and tell his/her most memorable event in the project team. But actually everybody was called up. When we refreshed back our memories, it was really HILARIOUS!! We laughed and laughed and some of us got jaw cramp because they laughed a lot. I really enjoyed this session. The food was fabulous. Then came the part of giving out the gift for the lucky numbers. Eventually semua yg datang dapat hadiah. I was stunned to see the lavishness of the gifts. Guess what? The gifts are all related to IT things and some are very expensive. The most expensive gift I think is the video camera worth more than 1k and the most "hampeh" gift is the CD case. The gifts vary from the video cam to DVD player, handphones, digital cameras, cordless phone, MP4 player, iPod, laptop bag, server rack (ni nak buat apa bagi nih?) and CD case. I got the iPod.. which I think very useful to me as I like listening to music especially when using LRT to go and back from work. I already have most of the other items. See my iPod :

On Sunday, we did what we called 'marathon activities'. First we went to Midvalley to see the Monsters and Dinosours Exhibition. My kids always asked me, "bila nak pegi tengok monsters & dinosours ni ibu?" and it was the last day. My kids enjoyed the exhibition but they got scared when we approaching the monsters/dinosours at a close distant. See the pics :

See the "kupiah" dinosour? I guess the dinosour was very 'alim' during his time. And I also wonder why there was this gigantic shoe in the exhibition. Apa kene mengene....Then we went for Bumiputra's Hartanah Exhibition. Saja tengok-tengok. After that we went to Maxis Centre at The Garden bcoz I want to cancel my 'hampeh' Maxis broadband. Sempat la singgah Isetan kat situ and I bought a Guess t-shirt for Sarah at discounted price. (Eh, asyik Sarah je, mana baju kakak Shasha ni...nanti ye dear.. tak jumpa yang ok untuk Shasha). Last sekali, we went to Giant Kinrara to buy our groceries. Yes, we bought our groceries weekly or fortnightly.

It was a great weekend indeed. Tapi lepas tu nak bangun pagi Isnin sangatlah susah....

Coming up, entry for Sarah's birthday. It's her birthday today!!
