Disney On Ice

Last Saturday night, we went to watch Disney On Ice at Bukit Jalil Stadium. The girls were all excited as they have been waiting for months to come and watch their favourite Disney characters by themselves.

Because we didn't bring Izzat with us, hubby asked his younger brother to come to our house to look after Izzat. Of course the maid is there to take care of him but we wanted to make sure on his safety especially after what had happened (the robbery attempt). So my brother in law spent the night at our house. Before we go, hubby was busy installing the alarm system he just bought and we were almost late considering that the original plan was to leave the house before 7 pm to avoid unnecessary traffic jams. We leave at 7.40 pm though (after the maghrib prayers). We thought that the traffic will be bad so it will took at least one hour to reach the stadium from our home. Fortunately, we were wrong. The traffic was all smooth and clear and we reached the stadium only for about 15 minutes.

The stadium was packed with excited children and their parents. There were stalls selling Disney merchandise and some food and drinks. As we have expected, the prices were.. well, a bit more expensive than the normal price. We brought our own snacks although we knew that it was prohibited...hehe.. We, except hubby, already had our dinner at home so there's no need to buy something to eat. But children, you know, always ask for something they don't really need. So we ended up buying some nuggets and sausages for the kids and hubby. Not for me, thank you very much. I'm already full.

The show started at about 8.35 pm. When Mickey and Minnie coming in, the children screamed and everybody clapped their hands. It was funny and entertaining, my girls were enjoying themselves watching as Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy do their acts. And then there were characters from Cars. After that, there were Ariel the Mermaid, The Lion King and Thinkerbell's show. As we were not allowed to bring cameras, I just took a few photos from my handphone and also some videos.

I like Ariel's show the most. It was full of musics and colorful costumes. It was very nice. Hermit the crab was very funny. The pig from the Lion King also was very funny. Thinkerbell however, the story must be too long as I yawned so many times throughout the show.

After the show was over, Sarah started to cry as she wanted to see more. As we were walking out of the stadium, she fell asleep. I took the opportunity to bring Shasha to see what merchandise are worth buying compared with their price. If Sarah was not asleep, I'm sure I will spend a lot of money buying things for her. After we took some time searching, I ended up buying a pair of nice, green Tinkerbell shoes for Shasha and Ariel's toy for Sarah.

Overall, the show was really great. The most important thing was the girls really enjoying themselves. Next, we hope to get a chance to go to the Disneyland! But we better start to save our money now or it won't be materialized....!

The happy faces.
