I do!
Heck, everybody wants to be a millionaire. But can we really be one?
Yesterday, my good friend told me that she went to a knowledge sharing session given by her colleague at their office. The knowledge sharing is about how to be a millionaire when you reach your retirement age. The idea is to save as much as you can, control your spending strictly, prioritise your needs and avoid involving in unnecessary debts.
Well... in that case, I don't really think I can be a millionaire when I turned 55.
I agree that we have to save as much as we can but in the real life, we need the money for so many things that we have to have. Aren't we?
I admit I don't save much. For my age, I should have quite a big sum in my bank's account but honestly I don't. Beside the life insurance, I only have my savings in ASB and Tabung Haji where the money being credited directly from my monthly salary. But the money also not to be left untouched. I did use the money if there is a need like to be used for downpayment and house renovation. So, how can the savings grow bigger meh...?
For my kids, each have their own Tabung Haji account and insurance for education. I have yet to cut my monthly salary for their monthly saving in TH. There are so many commitments now I don't think I have enough money to do that. Even my zakat also I have yet to increase the monthly payment. Camane la nak berkat rezeki ni..
For property, I'm aiming to have one house for each kid. So when they are old enough, they can keep one house for themselves. Currently we have one double storey terrace and 2 units of apartments. I plan to buy another one in the future to utilise my company loan. Sayang tak guna. We only use one car for our family and planning to upgrade to a bigger one.
I spent about RM750 per month for my children's kindy and nursery/babysitter and of course I give monthly allowance for my mum.
I do fancy branded clothes and bags. But I just buy when I think I can afford to buy.
I have 2 credit cards which one I paid full every month and another one I try to pay the maximum amount I could.
We go to vacations if there is budget and time, we sometimes eat at nice restaurants and go shopping about every week.
With all of these commitment and lifestyle, I really couldn't afford to save more at this time. Kena tunggu gaji naik lagi kot.
Kalau macam ni sampai bila pun I can never be a millionaire kan. Unless if I enter a contest and suddenly be a winner of RM 1 million. What a nice dream...
