The Surgery

Izzat went for a minor surgery last Thursday. Actually it was a circumcision. But because of his age, it has to be done by surgery. Alhamdulillah, all went well.

If not because of the infection he suffered last Ramadhan, we won't be at the Gleneagles for the surgery as I prefer for Izzat to be circumcised only when he is bigger, maybe at the age of 7 years old at least. It was very difficult to take care of him after the surgery as the pain was unbearable for a small child like him. Alhamdulillah the difficult part has passed and now, although not in full recovery, he is one happy toddler.

Izzat before the surgery. Happily walking around. Unaware what would happen to him next.

We left our home early as we have to send Shasha and Sarah to their school first. We thought that Izzat's surgery was at 10 am but it was actually at 9 am. Izzat did not have a time to take a bath. As soon as we arrived, the doctors are all waiting for us. It broke my heart when Izzat was crying loudly in the surgery room before the doctor put the gas mask on him.

I took leave from Thursday to Tuesday to take care of him. He has to be under my intensive care, as I don't trust my maid for the task.

Now, he got his appetite back. Easily finish up a full bowl of porridge for every meal. His mouth like a chatterbox. He loves aeroplane so much he has a special name for it, Dodo. Everytime he sees or hear the sound of aeroplane, he will says, 'Dodo'! Dunno how he get the name though. He also has a special expression everytime he sees animals he likes. Like bear, cat, rabbit.. Whenever he sees them, he will say, 'Eeeeee! Odtho..!!' Something similar with 'Dodo'. I don't know quite how to spell it.

He will get angry everytime he cannot get or do anything he wants. Well, very much alike his sister, Sarah when she was at his age. Everytime he sees me or my husband dressed up, he will be the first one to be infront of the door.

Alhamdulillah.. We have gone through it.
