The Tragic Death of 4 Yrs Old

I read with disgust the tragic news in today's paper about a 4 yrs old toddler who had fallen to his death from an eighth-floor apartment because he was trying to find his mother. Apparently the mother thinks that it is safe to leave his very young son alone for going to work. The child was sleeping when she went out of the apartment.

What's wrong with the mother anyway? Hasn't she gone insane? Everybody knows that children under age cannot be left alone without adult's supervision. Tak pernah terfikir ke budak kecik tu terjaga cari mak dia tak jumpa and in a desperate attempt to find her, the child would do anything including jumping out of the apartment's window or balcony. The boy was just 4 years old, for godsake.

Dulu ada baca paper sorang budak kecik ni terbakar dalam rumah dia pasal ayah dia tinggalkan dia sorang-sorang sebab nak hantar kakaknya pergi sekolah & ibunya pergi kerja. The grill was locked because the father thought it is for her daughter's safety but it turned out to be the cause of her tragic death.

Diorang ni semua tak reti fikir ke? Tak kira apa keadaan pun, apa kesusahan pun, anak kecil jangan sekali-kali tinggalkan seorang diri. Jangan expect tak akan ada apa-apa perkara buruk berlaku bila tinggalkan diorang or biarkan diorang keluar sorang-sorang. Bila perkara buruk dah berlaku, barulah nak menyesal tak sudah. Your child died unnecessarily. Memang bagus pun government impose Child Act which states it is an offence to leave a child without reasonable supervision.

So friends, ingat ya.. sentiasa jaga keselamatan anak-anak kita ye.. Yang ada depan mata kita pun kadang-kadang berlaku benda yang tak diingini, apatah lagi kalau kita biarkan diorang sorang-sorang.
